Whistleblowing at Floatel International
The Floatel Group conducts its business ethically and with integrity, safeguarding people and maintaining the highest principles, wherever business is done. We are dedicated to ensuring that irregularities which could seriously harm the company or our employees are investigated as quickly as possible. Floatel encourages its employees and stakeholders to report serious misconduct that has occurred or is likely to occur. “Misconduct” refers to an act or omission within the Floatel organization that is considered harmful and of public interest and that an individual has become aware of in a work-related context.
What can be reported?
Breaches in the following areas are generally considered to be of public interest:
Human or labour rights
Harassment or discrimination
Safety or security hazards
Environmental protection
Financial services
Fraud or theft
Breaches of laws and regulations, as well as violations of Floatel’s Code of Conduct and Group Policies and Procedures, are also considered matters of public interest.
What is not of public interest?
Matters that only concern an individual’s own employment relationships, such as difficulties in cooperation, general business complaints, or grievances about an employee’s personal situation is usually not considered public interest and should not be reported through the whistleblowing channel. Such matters should instead be discussed with a supervisor or an HR representative.
How to report?
Employees are encouraged to use the Floatel Open Door Policy and report the matter directly to their manager, the HR department, or to any other senior member within the Company. If this is not appropriate, or if the employee is not comfortable raising the concern directly, the third-party whistleblowing channel can be used.
Floatel International’s whistleblowing channel is hosted and staffed by an independent third-party provider, 2Secure, who screens incoming reports for potential conflicts of interest. Reports are then forwarded to the Floatel Whistleblowing Working Group for investigation. All reports are treated confidentially, and Floatel ensures that no retaliation is taken against anyone who reports in good faith.
Employees do not need proof of their suspicion but must have reasonable grounds to believe the information is true at the time of reporting. Making a false report with the intention of harming another individual may result in disciplinary action.
When submitting a report via our whistleblowing channel, the system offers the option of being anonymous and cases are handled with the utmost confidentiality.
